Baby corn, green beans & preserved turnip

Delicious stir fries can be made from the simplest ingredients.  Today’s baby corn & green beans, flavoured with garlic, preserved turnip, and soy sauce cost about £1.20 for two servings.  Delicious on it’s own with rice, or with perhaps a fried egg, or in the specific case of what was already the lunch box for tomorrow – leftover steak from yesterday.  Tonight I had it with a serving of noodles and an egg.   This comes to under £1.00 per meal sans meat.  The egg was another ~0.15 and the leftover steak…. say £1 or less?  My costings are never exact as I’m not detail-oriented enough, but let’s just say £2 per meal.  Hmmm how much was that last pizza order again?  😉
